The Social Networking WebQuest: Guidance
_
This WebQuest and extension is worth a
total of 100 points. Please put your best work forward and approach the
assignment in a neat and concise manner. You will be evaluated by the following
two components.
1. Notes taken throughout your exploration of the WebQuest. Students should use blank notebook paper to record their notes and observations throughout the WebQuest. Notes can be recorded in bullet point format, but should have clear and concise ideas written down. Make sure that each member of the group is recording down their own information, as each student will be expected to turn in their own notes. If students decide to split up questions be sure to record all of the answers for yourself when you reconnect and discuss as a group. (30 points total- broken down into 3 sections)
· Keep a record of the background knowledge that you acquire while researching STEP 1 of The Process. Make sure to address all four questions and provide answers to each. (10 points)
· While researching the pros and cons of the topic for STEP 2 of The Process, keep a running record of the information you find for each side. Label the information you find as either pro, con, both, or unsure. (10 points)
· Based on your research and once you have chosen a position on the issue, write down the position that you will decide to support. Provide some information that addresses the questions of STEP 3 of The Process to show that you are critically thinking about your topic. (10 points)
